About Us
Puddlemire sits a mile or two South of Kirkby Lonsdale, tucked away between the rolling pastures of the Yorkshire Dales & dry stone walls of the Lake District. It is a small family-run site with space for tents & 3 site-owned Bell tents, set out on grassy pitches which border the banks of Lupton Beck.
What We Offer
Here at Puddlemire, we hope to share with our guests the peace and tranquility that our natural surroundings provide. To get you closer to nature, and within reach of some of the best places that Cumbria has to offer.
Our facilities are straightforward & well kept, with hot showers & flushing toilets available for all campers. Our "By the Beck " pitches have their own private shower & composting toilet, great for keeping wet clothes out of the tent and a changing space after a dip in the Beck.
We offer fire pits for hire too. For those dreamy evening barbeques, watching the stars and listening to the abundance of wildlife that surrounds you.
Camping Pitches
There are three types of pitch we have at Puddlemire, and they are:
Hobby Wood grass pitches
All the essentials for a lovely holiday in the Cumbrian countryside, somewhere to pitch your tent with access to shared facilities
By the Beck grass pitches
These pitches are nestled next to Lupton Beck, with easy access to the water’s edge and prime wildlife spotting opportunities. Comes complete with your very own private hot shower and compost loo
Alder’s Edge Bell Tents
There are three Bell Tents available, each with their own private compost loos, showers, drinking water tap and recycling bins. Suitable for up to 4 guests, they make for a special getaway without having to pack your tent
